Listen up managers and condo board members. This is the year to prepare for FOUR major requirements that have deadlines. These are items that have been documented for years with the National Fire Code, Building Safety Bill, and other safety authorities.
B.D.A Signal Testing - E.L.S.S. - S.I.R.S. - and Milestone Inspections
It is critical that you get your proposals in to your boards and get these items signed and executed. There are serious delay times with architects and engineers due to recent mandates.
Time to contact your trusted vendors and get this info on the books. many insurance companies are looking to make sure building boards are complying with the deadlines so it's best to have proof there is an executed agreement in place.
BDA Testing applies to buildings 75 feet or higher and has a deadline of January 1, 2025.
ELSS applies to buildings 75 feet or higher with a deadline of January 1, 2024.
S.I.R.S. applies to buildings 3 stories or higher and must be done by December 31, 2024.
Milestone Inspections - Phase One applies to building 3 stories and higher and must be completed by December 31, 2024.
